  1. I got my haircut by Claudia Diesti with Vern Shears yesterday!

After years of hating my haircuts, I finally came out of the salon with a smile on my face and a great haircut. Using Vern Shears Claudia was able to cut and texturize my hair perfectly and quickly. My hair looks great! Thanks Claudia and Vern ....

  2. As stylists and artists our dream has always been to be recognized and stand out from the average. From Michelangelo to Botero, Mozart to the Beatles or Alexandre de Paris to Vidal Sassoon, artists have tried to improve on the past generations work. Experienced stylists know that although there have been many great artists there have been few innovators; those how have taught us truly new techniques or even a new way of thinking such as Sassoon or Rusk.
Now with the VERN Intelligent Cutting System all you know about cutting will change. The VERN System is changing the way hairstylists move, think and craft their art. Years before VERN was created four Chinese artists saw the limitations hairstylists had with traditional cutting systems. Their goal was to reinvent cutting, allowing a stylist to cut, thin and textureise at the same time! In 1998 VERN became a reality. Eight shears with the ability to interlock creates thousands of possibilities.
Just think faster and more accurate techniques gives you more time for quality consultations all while getting more clients in your chair. A stylist will stand out from the rest and this I know from experience. I have traveled the globe and trained with many of the industries best. In the past I cut with two $1000.00 Alivial shears and two $500.00 Buttercuts. I was getting $120 per cut while others in my area with decades more experience were not getting more than $80. I knew how to cut and well…or so I thought.
VERN showed me a whole new world I did not know existed, a world where science and art meet. This combination is incredible to watch and experience.

Numbers do not lie. Industry statistics show us that in the first visit you have 50-50 chance to keep a client in the second visit it goes to 30%, the fourth goes to 25%. These numbers are based on the fact that a stylist needs to offer a client something original within a first few visits in order to maintain their loyalty. Nothing is more creative or original than the VERN system.
The VERN education is a simple approach. We teach you steps 1-10 all while skipping 2-9. We are looking for artists who want something new and imaginative. Artists who are looking to define themselves in our creative world of angles and lines. Artists who like I have already stated need to stand out from the average. In our difficult economic times we need to be unique, we need to be different.

This is our concept. This is VERN!

  4. Although the shape of your hair stylists thinning shears may not sound all that important, when it comes to your time spent in the chair and the final look when you leave the salon it can mean all the difference in the world. It takes only a second to demonstrate the effect the “L”shape teeth of the Vern shears.

To explain, any experienced stylist knows that all thinning shears have just a few variations when it comes to the shape of the blade. From the most expensive like Naruto’s $3000 shear to a $50 pair of Fromm’s you will see maybe three different blades; the most common 1) flat beveled blade, exactly like a kitchen knife, 2 ) an upward slanted blade, like the tip of a Samurai sword and 3 ) the common “V” shaped tooth. For years that is what a stylist would have to choose from. Most of us, including myself, did not think much of it, it was all we knew. Vern Shears changed everything we knew.

About nine years ago, the Taiwanese Vern Shears Team changed all that with the invention patented “L” shaped tooth design. When a stylist closes the Vern Shears the blades unique design cuts just a few hairs at two different angles, making any “tool lines” invisible to the eye! That saves a great deal of time trying to remove and blend these tool lines. In other words with Vern Shears a stylist can cut, thin and blend at one time by combining the shears. And that translated to you as less time in the chair.

Using the Vern Shears is a true art and incredible to witness a stylist how knows how to handle these shaping tools!

  5. Yes you heard me correctly. Vern Shears A, B and a C can make you more money all while making your job as an stylist doing extensions much easier. How? Let me explain. Any hairstylist or anyone who specializes strictly doing hair extensions knows that the application of the extensions is the easy part, time consuming but still the easy part. As we get more proficient we can only become faster and cleaner at our application of each extension but the application is not rocket science. But where we differ is the finishing. The perfect blending and finishing of all that time and effort put into the hours of applying each extension. Right?
Now with the Vern Shears A, B and C you can save time in thinning and blending all your hard work. What I’m talking about is the 4Ea, 4Eb and the 4Ec “L” tooth thinning scissors from Vern Shears. Unlike the shears you’re presently working with these shears are designed to leave no demarcation line or tool lines in the hair. What is even better is that these shears lock together to form one working shears! This is done by Vern Shears patented interlocking device which allows you to stack them. Here is a simple explanation. Once you’re finished applying all extensions you would them comb and flat iron all the hair straight. Now this is where you would normally take the time in blending the hair so that it looks natural but this is exactly where Vern Shears separates from the rest. You now stack them in order of ABC with the A closest to the clients head and the C farthest. Then in just a few closes of the shears your basically done.
The rest is not easy to explain in writing but really needs to be seen. All I can say is that I can perfectly blend a full and I mean full head of extensions with Vern Shears ABC combination in about ten minutes! Yea you heard that right also! I do not have to spend any real amount of time blending and trying not to leave tool lines to have a full head of extensions look perfectly natural. If you’re a stylist and reading this you can contact me for any questions but believe me, this simple combination of the Vern Shears can save you time and get more clients in your chair!
